I just started using tivo with bolt and though mostly thrilled with the dvr and all it can do, to include plex, I just discovered that the plex app fails to replay a movie once started–from other than the start. I tried several movies. I restarted the tivo, power shuffle, restarted plex server; no joy. the same movies I tried to replay at say at 1h30m in would start without issue on pht. I run pht and server on same machine. the tivo is on the same network and the relevant devices are all wired. I do not pose this for a discussion as I am terrible at getting back to this stuff, but with hope the devs see it and take a look. NOTE: I see few if any settings I can change with the tivo bolt app, and I recall no server configuration that would interfere with such a basic function of a media server. I changed nothing that I think would cause this, but this is the first time in a while I have used something other than pht. also, the symptom other than doing nothing is that three yellow dots are presented as it does that nothing something. lastly, I did not wait minutes to see if it would finally start.
thank you to the devs for the tivo support; it is otherwise a wonderful icing on the tivo unified cake.
I recommend tivo. previous experience with dvrs include fios, directv (most recent), twc, and another heap I forgot and this bolt is slick/fast. I do not work for tivo or in any way involved with them.
