Brand new Nvidia Shield Missing Plex Server in Settings

Brand new Nvidia shield pro as my other one died this week and won’t even get past the android logo. I am not starting to think its the media server update that has broken both. After rebuilding the new PMS everything was working fine, after checking settings I can see that the plex media server settings row icons were missing. After restarting it several times its appeared and I was able to set it to running.

After around 2 minutes every media stops with a playback error even though the same shows were fine a few days ago.

It looks to be like the latest update from Nvidia or Plex I installed on both PMS’s has killed them.

The row has been missing on mine for a while now. Not sure how to get it back other than starting over which I really don’t want to do. Until recently my shield (using plex) has been working fine. However lately the server has been randomly stopping and starting. I’ve tried to do the beta test server but it downloads but will not install.

Ive since factory restored the Nvidia and stopped the latest server update from happening and everything is working fine so its definitely the latest update that is causing the issues. I just don’t know how to tell Plex the issue as there is no tech support.

Have you tried submitting a ticket on the Nvidia site? Maybe if enough of us do that. I was able to get some help with another issue when I did that.
