Browser Plex Player does not auto-play

I recently moved my plex server to a dedicated PC and rebuilt the libraries. When testing I tried playing music from a browser on another PC in the house. When I selected an album to play the play list would be set, but the first song would not start.

If I clicked on the play button it would play, switch to the next song but again not start playing. Searching I found suggestions regarding repeat, tried turning it off/on, neither helped. I cannot find where the auto-play option is on the browser app but I figure it is defaulted to on.

I did download, install, and run the plex program on my PC and auto-played did work. Is this a browser type issue. I ran plex tv in Chrome (latest version) on windows 10

Check any browser add-ins. Disable all of them and repeat the test.

Use https://app.plex.tv instead of the local IP of your server.

After loading the web app, click on the small padlock icon in the address bar.
Go to “Site settings” and make sure that all the permissions in there are set to “default”.
