Buffering with high bitrate content

Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685 (windows)
Player Version#:10.26.1.123 (TCL TV Google/Android TV latest app version from Play Store)

I can’t get Plex to stop buffering when playing high bitrate 4k content. It’s not a server resource issue, it’s a direct play with no transcoding, server is under 10% CPU usage. Network is a 1Gbps from the server to the TV.

I’ve tried direct ethernet to tv. USB ethernet adapter. Brand new axe5400 hotspot that’s sitting next to the TV where I can get 700+ Mbps using speed test via phone. Definitely not a bandwidth issue.

Looking at the server console, one thing that I’m noticing is that whenever buffering occurs the console throws this SSL error:

CERT: incomplete TLS handshake from 192.168.0.205:41592: sslv3 alert certificate unknown (SSL routines)

I’ve disabled IPv6. Added the lan subnet to bypass auth. Reinstalled the plex on TV. Cleared cache on both tv and server. Tried another pc on the network to act as the server, same buffering.

This is just a default installation, no remote access.

Anything else I can try? It seems like it’s related tot he SSL handshake, as if it’s causing a temporary interruption.

Also having this issue on my Hisense VIDAA TV was never an issue before but something recently has changed

For anyone that can’t get rid of buffering, I switched to Emby and now there’s zero buffering. Every movie/show that used to buffer now plays perfectly.
