On Android mobile, for example, we can rescan a library for new content by selecting the library and then pick the Rescan menu item on the dot dot dot menu for the library.
However, if you have deleted the last library item from the last scan, then you get a different screen when you select the library and there is no option to rescan the library. It is rather frustrating not being able to rescan when you need it most.
This is a frequent occurrence for me in a library where I delete items after I’m done watching them. If I accidentally delete the “last” item, then I can’t rescan. Of course, it wasn’t really the last item because new content is being added to the library all the time from external processes.
This would appear to be defect in your interface design and it would be helpful if you could fix it so that we can always rescan a library – even after the “last” item was removed.
