I created a first playlist with two songs. Lauched the first song and choose “repeat all” so that the playlist could loop. At the end of the second song, the playlist launches the first song, that plays 1-2s and then starts over, and it goes like this. Playing songs independently in the playlist or from outside doesn’t trigger that behaviour. I don’t have this behaviour when I am using the web client in chrome or in any other browser.
I created a second playlist with also two (other) songs. Same behaviour except that at the loop the first song is played 1-2s then the second is launched and the it keeps being played 1-2s only.
I recorded the scree of my mobile in the attached file to illustrate my point. I just fastworwarded (in the app) the tracks, I really like Iron Maiden and Rammstein, but I nevertheless did not want to inflict them on you guys : (File removed)
The repeat function in a playlist, or in any other context (music or video) is essential, so that fixing this bug would be great.
I guess that with bugs like this one existing since more that 4 years, I have my answer. Plus, I am not the only one reporting the “repeat all not working” issue, see for instance on various platforms :
and there are more, just google “plex repeat all doesn’t work”.
It is clear that the Plex guys do not intend to solve bugs anymore and that Plex will go out of support sooner or later. I mean, it is either this or Plex really disrespects its clients at a yet unseen point. I guess that people also somehow acknoledged this, as they don’t even push (like I do) for the bug to been solved … It’s really sad.
