Artwork for TV Shows and Movies are not showing up anymore for IPTV channels. This used to work perfectly a few months ago when “Enhanced Guide” setting was enabled. Unfortunately, recent threads reporting this issue seem to get overlooked. Is there a better place to report Plex issues?

UPDATE: I was able to find a workaround. I switched to an EPG provider to supply poster artwork for each airing.
However, the actual problem is that Plex developers seemed to have recently broke the “Enhanced Guide” LiveTV DVR setting. This setting is “supposed” to supplement missing poster artwork, but doesn’t anymore. The only workaround is to use an xmlTV provider that already provides this artwork.

To follow it up, I would need an actual current xmltv file to try and zipped server logs after a refresh and the attempt to enhance the metadata from the guide
im having the same issue… no enhanced guide data for Live TV & DVR… just blank pics

Thanks for the xmltv file and logs. I have looked into this and found out the reason. Unfortunately the legacy back-end plex system is no longer operational and the intention is to switch to using our new metadata backend systems. This work has not yet been done.
I will link this forum thread and any others I find to the internal registered issue for this

I have full artwork/program information/channel icons using guide2go to produce an XMLTV file.
zap2xml also works good for me.

It’s weird how some obvious bugs like this take YEARS to fix. It can’t be that hard to fix.
I don’t have an update. The Enhanced Guide option functionality is no longer there. I have added a note on the open issue
