[BUG] Fantastic Four (2005) will not show up in Plex

Server Version#: Version 1.27.1.5916
Player Version#: N/A
Logs.zip (19.8 KB)

I have a file “Fantastic Four (2005) - dvd” taken from the widescreen dvd of that film using MakeMKV and optimized using Handbrake like every other of the more than 100 movies I have on my server.

I put this in the folder “F:\PLEX\Collections\Misplaced Marvel Collection\Fantastic Four (2005)” and scan. It does not appear in Plex.
Note: other files in folder include:

Daredevil (2003)
Elektra (2005)
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
Hulk (2003)
Jonah Hex (2010)

All of these work perfectly.

I have removed the file, scanned library, cleaned bundles, emptied trash, optimized DB. Stopped server, cleared all logs. Started server, turned on DEBUG (not VERBOSE), , scanned library, cleaned bundles, emptied trash, optimized DB. Stopped server.

Started server, added file and folder again, collected logs, still no joy. Those logs are attached.

In the past, I have renamed it to “Fantastic 4 (2005)” with the same result. I have rescanned the mkv file from the dvd and not put it through handbrake – makes no difference either. Something about THIS file is wacking Plex out. It reports that it is making chapters but then the film never appears:

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Try and rename the folder to Fantastic Four (2005) {tmdb-9738} and see if it fixes it. It might need a plex dance.

The ids are great for forcing plex to match exactly what you want.

Im gonna bet your library points to F:\PLEX\Collections you either need all the movies in that directory F:\PLEX\Collections\Fantastic Four (2005) {imdb-tt0120667}.mkv, or 1 folder per movie F:\PLEX\Collections\Fantastic Four (2005) {imdb-tt0120667}\Fantastic Four (2005) {imdb-tt0120667}.mkv
