Bug: Issue displaying Collections Mac OS Plex App

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4707
Player Version#: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4
Mac OS - Desktop App

I have several collections set up for TV shows. but when I go to view them it just shows the regular library. Even has the alphabetical letters running down the right side.

Movie collections display correctly but TV shows just shows a duplicate of the Library Section. Any suggestions to fix this welcome. I tried uninstalling Plex and reinstalling but it did not fix the issue. Maybe there is a way to reset the configuration somehow?

added a photo to show the issue.

I’ve seen a number of similar posts over the last few weeks. It appears the fix is to reset the Plex Web customizations (Settings > Plex Web > Debug → Restore Defaults).
Keep in mind… doing that will bring up the initial Plex Web setup where you need to pick your default server and pin your libraries.

Tom, I can definitely confirm that as a fix.

Thank you for your response. However in Settings I am not seeing “Plex Web” maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

ah… I had missed this is about Plex Media Player (not Plex Web).
It’s been some time since I’ve been using that – from what I remember, there’s a Reset Customizations options when you click on your user (at the same level that lets you access the app settings).

Because of the version number, I’m guessing this is the “Plex for Mac” Plex.app, not the ancient Plex Media Player?

I think one of these will do the trick:

Settings → Plex For Mac → General → Show Advanced → Reset Customization

There’s also Settings → Plex For Mac → Debug → Restore Defaults
(Debug only appears after Show Advanced has been enabled.)

YES! resetting customization alone didn’t seem to work but I did the “Restore Defaults” then the “Reset Customization” and it worked! Thank you so much. This was driving me mad.
