Bug #1:
The setting “Episode Ordering” in the Library Setting for the “Plex TV Series” Scanner is ignored. A newly added TV Show gets its metadata always from TMDB by default.
Reproduce the bug: Simply add any TV Show to the library with “TVDB” as default setting. You get metadata from TMDB, not TVDB
Bug #2
To fix the wrong metadata on the TV Show level, it is possible to change the “Episode Ordering” setting to “TVDB” with the options “Aired”, “DVD” or “Absolute”. This fixes most data for the episodes even if it is a lot of work.for all shows.
But the Description field for the show itself is not updated and still contains the rubbish from TMDB.
As there is no option to use local assets for TV show description and title, the false data can not be removed or corrected.
Reproduce the bug: Fix the data for the show from Bug #1 on the series level by switching “Episode odering” from “Library Default” which is always TMDB due to Bug #1 to any “TVDB” setting. Episode data will be updated, Show data remains untouched.
