[BUG REPORT WITH SOLUTION] Channels not showing up with WinTV-dualHD

I am also seeing this with both Hauppauge and HDHomeRun tuners. I tried on different systems as well.

Yeah… I’ve literally tried everything that I can think of. I’ve read through the logs. I’ve uninstalled the WinTv software. I’ve deleted my Plex database multiple times (because it caches the channel lineup). And all I’ve found is other people claiming to have the same issue without any results on how to fix it.

It’s been like two weeks since I’ve posted this, and no response from support.

Still not working in 1.9.6.4401 after another channel scan.

This is still an issue

This might be dump question, but did you map all the channels to EPG which weren’t automatically mapped by plex?

In pics.zip / img6.PNG you have 1008.4 CBS unchecked and no EPG has been defined/selected.The steps on your post from October 16 did not mention this EPG mapping.

I’ve had same issue with my Finnish cable company; I could scan all the channels (expect 1), but EPG was missing for 50% of channels (Like channel 1 (SD) did not have EPG, but channel 1 (HD) had EPG so I used channel 1 HD EPG for channel 1 SD and then it showed in plex (who would need the SD if you have HD, but this was just an example)).

If channel is not mapped with EPG in that menu which is showing at img6.PNG, plex won’t show the channel at all. Just throwing this out here in case you missed it…

P.S. If you are missing EPG info for some channels, request them to be added here https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/281569/reporting-gracenote-epg-data-issues#latest

Yeah, I did. That’s how it ends up at 33. Otherwise it’s 20~. I made a post earlier in this thread explaining this. All of the EPG data is available for my channels. I just am not even getting the option to map them.

There are just gaps in the channels that show up where other channels should be…

This problem is still unsolved.

This is still unsolved.

Same. Have tried everything I can think of as well.

I was having the same issue and what helped me was using a neighboring zip code. Then it found/mapped all of my channels correctly.

This isn’t an issue with EPG. My channels are not even showing up for the zip code part.

Yeah. That was an issue for me too. It wouldn’t show any of my channels. When I deleted and re-added it didn’t show any of my OTA channels. (I’m on antenna not cable). I had to use a neighboring zip code for them to show up.

That’s weird. I tried that with several surrounding areas, but it didn’t change anything. The channels are still missing. I’ve included some more pictures to show what I mean.

All of the channels listed on the right in the EPG are channels that do work with the WinTv software. They’re just not being displayed by Plex for even being able to enable them.

This is still an issue…

i feel you. I tried to different zip code as well.

In your picture, your channels are showing up as protected and some of them are not enabled… Are you missing channels that aren’t listed as protected and not available to be enabled?

This problem is still not fixed with today’s update.

I can get the channels that are not enabled if I enable them. The protected ones I can’t enable. Cable company does not have any protection. You can hook tv directly to cable and get all channels. Like a tv from 1990s. And they all play on Nextpvr

This has been an issue for a while, I really would like to use this but for now I’m using npvr for the recording to dump into a plex dvr library folder.
