I am a long time user of sagetv but I have been looking for something new. Plex finds 300 channels but only enables 7 QAM channels Sagetv finds 84 channels plus some of the channels are playing the wrong shows.
To be able to use this I need live tv to work on windows 10 … any idea when that will be available
I can watch Live TV currently on my Windows 10 desktop computer. What are you trying to use to watch Live TV?
are you watching that in a browser or ap? the biggest problem of course is only 7 channels and they are wrong

So Plex detects 300 channels but only enables 7. I am assuming this is cable and not OTA. Are these channels copy protected (DRM) by the cable provider? If so, Plex does not work with any channels that are copy-protected.
Yes cable channels some are copy protected 80 or so are in the clear qam channels that work fine in sagetv

I had the same problem somewhat, and doing that worked for me.
does not help how do i get support or should i just cancel because the dvr function does not get the correct channels
I don’t see where you ever posted logs. If you could go to Settings/Server and ensure that Debug logging is turned on, Verbose is turned off, and allow Plex tokens in logs is turned off. Then to try to ensure that the logs are fairly clean refresh the Program Guide if DVR is still configured. Once the guide refresh is complete delete the DVR and then stop Plex and Restart. After restart wait about 5 minutes and then go back through the DVR setup. This will hopefully allow the channels Plex sees to have entries in the log where it tries to match the channels to your zip code and cable provider. Once the DVR is setup and the Program Guide finishes you can grab the log files. Go to Settings/Server/Help and click the download logs link. Upload the zip file here.
will do should i scan for channels or just go with the list that plex finds i have done it both ways neither works correctly

Can you have it scan for channels and posted updated logs. What WinTV card do you have?

this is not even getting close the channels it does list in the guide are not correct…Very disappointed

Can you grab some screenshots of the DVR setup screen where you select the cable provider and the channels Plex is displaying? I assume since you mentioned 300 channels that your are using the “Madison Communications, Inc - Digital” Cable Provider/Program Guide since the non digital only lists 71 channels. If I select the provider I see the following channels at the top of the list.
If you could grab screenshots showing all the channels on the left side of the selection screen. Hopefully this will allow me to see what you are getting. Screenshot is from one of my test servers, channels of course do not match since I am not in the St. Louis area.
