Bug: Skip intro button causes audio lag

I’ve noticed that each time when I use the SKIP INTRO button, it performs the required task but little by little the audio and video start to be out of sync. When I pause the video, exit and then resume, audio and video are back in sync.

Could this be a bug? It has happened multiple times both with X264 and x265 files.

I have experienced the same thing for many TV shows.
It only happens to me on my shield pro 2019.
I also use the LG WebOS plex client and using skip intro on that client never results in out of sync audio.

Shield Pro client version: 8.18.2.25850 (0905fbb3)
Shield Pro version: 8.2.3 (32.6.518.0)

This is a known issue with seeking (can happen with any seek) that we’re tracking internally.

@DaveBinM - Any updates or progress on fixing this bug? Is there another place to track when this will be fixed for the nvidia shield client?

I’ll add a +1 as this has never been a problem for me, until recently. I use a Shield if it matters.

Mine is not a subtle shift to being out of sync, its immediate after the “Skip Intro” and I have to exit and resume the media. For me this does not happen doing a normal forward or reverse skip or seek, its only using the Skip Intro feature, and it can only be fixed by exiting and resuming the media.

We’ve done a fair bit of investigation on this, and tried quite a few different things, but haven’t been able to track down the exact cause of it yet, I’m afraid.

Same issue, same hardware setup…(Android TV running on NVidia Shield). Just keeping the thread open (and subscribing for updates).

This is still happening on the latest (beta) PMS, and beta Android TV client on nVidia Shield.
