Skipping the intro leads to audio desync

Server Version#: 1.32.0.6973
Player Version#: 9.21.1.1169 Nvidia Shield App running on a Nvidia Shield Pro 2019

It happens quite often on my Nvidia Shield that after pressing the “Skip Intro” button, the intro will be skipped, but audio will be out of sync. Pausing/unpausing doesn’t fix this, the only way I can currently fix it, is if I rewind 10 sec for example, the audio will be back in sync. This never happens on web, Plex desktop app or on my Xbox, it’s exclusively a Nvidia Shield issue.
Is this issue a known bug? I can’t seem to find anything about it on the forum, but I found an older Reddit post where people report having the same exact issue ( Reddit - Dive into anything ).

I can also confirm this issue, it’s been around for a long time now. It was fixed at one point but it’s been a mess ever since. This happens with skip intro as well as allowing play next to automatically start playing the next episode, also if you just hit play to start playing the next episode before the timer hits 0.

I’m shocked not more people are complaining about it.

Yes, you are right, it also happens when you automatically start the next episode. I just hope someone sees this and we get an acknowledgement from the staff that this is a known bug and it’s being worked on

You and me both! Although, with how long the issue has been prevalent for, I’m doubting it… Only real luck I’ve found is by making a lot of noise in here, or pinging a dev directly.

I’m still having this issue from time to time, so this wasn’t fixed as of today.

Definitely a problem. I regularly skip into and then have to do the rewind/pause/fwd dance to get lipsync back.

They finally fixed the player crashing when seeking too many times, but this is definitely still a problem.

More than half the time when letting auto play do it’s thing the next episode starts with audio out of sync and I have to back out and resume the episode.

This issue is still not fixed and I am still experiencing it. @ChuckPa I’m really sorry to tag you, but we haven’t gotten an answer at all as of yet. Is this a known issue? Is somebody working on it? Thanks!
