I couldn’t believe that there is no way to burn my playlists or any song for that matter to disc or usb stick, This would make plexamp the best out there. I want to burn my playlists for my van, but no way of doing it unfortunately.
Download your music to your phone, running Plexamp.
Then plug it into your car stereo.
I wish you luck on your quest, but I would not hold your breath waiting for the company to add a disc burning feature.
My favorite part about this was mentioning that it’s a van.
(My friend with a van only listens to 8-tracks, but he found a company that will transfer his LPs to 8-tracks so he is sitting pretty.)
In addition to Otto’s suggestion to output the music from Plexamp on your phone to the Van’s audio…
There’s already existing suggestions for Plex to support exporting media / playlists to an external medium (those talk about USB sticks / thumb drives; burning discs seems to predate that).
- Export Music Playlists directly without need for external custom apps
- Export music playlist to m3u+media
If you truly can’t go with the option suggested by Otto, you might want to comment/vote in (one of) those threads to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
2025 clean-up: use case appears outdated/obsolete (e.g. option to connect your phone w/ Plexamp to the car audio); duplicate (playlist export)
