/share/CACHEDEVx_DATA is the actual volume where your media is stored. If the data you’re looking for isn’t there, something is wrong.
However, I get the impression you’re using the MultiMedia share because you’re talking about it not being updated. If this is true, If you are, you respectfully need to get away from using the multimedia share while you can.
The reason you need to get away from it is because Multimedia is an Application-Generated share. You aren’t seeing ‘truth’ . You’re seeing what the application wants you to see when it wants you to see it. As a direct result, it will drive PMS crazy.
If I may recommend taking some time to read the QNAP FAQ. It’ll save you a lot of time and headaches.
Next, the TL;DR, start creating actual shares for your media (typically by type “movies”, “television”, “music”, etc), moving your files into those shares, and then having PMS look directly at those shares. After doing this, you won’t have any latency when adding media. PMS will see it immediately.
We have a dedicated QNAP forum (tag) server-qnap
where you’ll find all kinds of info as well as read about the issues others have had and how they solved them
