Good Morning Otto, as I promised I want to keep you aware of my progression (¿?).
Yesterday as I had few to risk, I decided to unplug the power of my WdMyCloud Home and replug some minutes later. First I was able to fin my server, which was already some good progress, but then I realised that there was such a mess that I had to reorder all (or almost all) of the libraries, so I started deleting the classifying categories, keeping of course the files. But as I started doing it partially (keeping the ones I thought were ok) and the system does not deletes it immediately, I’m considering that maybe there is another way of doing it erasing all the classification and reclassifying again all of them. What do you think about? Is there a better way to do so?
Besides that, I beg you to have a look to the post of your companion corwin_x which is quite hard to understand to me as I do not know much about technical words and terminology. Maybe he means that I should supervise some settings which are really not too clear to me either.
Could you describe in more detail what is wrong currently
and how you’d rather like your media organised?
(perhaps include some screenshots as examples)
Only then I can recommend a course of action.
I think the best might be to start classifying all the stuff from the beginning, but I don’t know whether it is possible or not. All the files referring to shared home videos do not respect the different themes they were classified to.
I only have the doubt whether the Music files are ok.
And also the other videos are repeated. They are altogether in the last library of my list (I made a mistake there, because I had previously classified them in 8 different categories and then I reopen a new one messing them all without distinction.
Thats why I ask if there would be possible to reorder them again.
I must say also that first time I worked with Plex when you created a Library, there was a path in which the app was asking you to choose the file from its original emplacement but I think this path has disappeared now. Am I right?
Oh my God, again unable to access to my server securely!!!
No, Plex only asks for a path. Not particular file names.
That is no reason of concern if you don’t enable remote access.
Settings - Web Client - General - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Allow Fallback to Insecure Connections” = On same network as server
OK, the server is reachable again. But may I erase all the libraries?
Do you want I send you how I have them distributed in the server and also in the copy at the WDmybook?
