Can access my media server on my mobile android

I am a new user, I have my media server running and can access it via my android while I’m on my home network however, I can’t seem to access the Home server using my mobile phone. I have activated the phone but I don’t have flex pass. I plan to purchase Tidal is that what I need To get this working? Does Tidal give me flex pass if I subscribe through Plex? Do I need both? Thank you

A Plex Pass is not required to access your Plex Media Server remotely. You may need to do some manual configuration of your network equipment. Troubleshooting Remote Access | Plex Support

Like what kind of adjustment? IPv6? I don’t have wp3 security turned on….
Other thoughts?

I still Cannot access via my mobile. I have a Google Mesh wifi and Upnp Is turned on. My windows firewall is allowing access to Plex and my media server reports I’m fully connected for remote access.
Help!!

then try setting up a manual port forward. For Google Wifi you do that in the Google Home app.

You are leaving your computer on and running when you are away correct? You are not letting it fall asleep? like if it is a laptop you are not closing it correct?

can you access it with a web browser when you are not at home?

Weird. This is how I get it to work (and by the way thanks very much for your assistance).

Get my server running as before, run my client on my mobile phone, connect to my server, call up my music library and then I must disconnect from the server, and select “yes” to continue playing music on my device. Then and only then can I get it to work remotely. Is this how it’s supposed to work?

what do you mean by “connect to my server” here? What button are you pressing if any. if you are logged into your server and logged into your client there should be nothing manual to do here, besides look for what you want to play and hit play.

that is the menu that comes up when you are casting/flinging from phone to another device. basically using the phone as a remote control. when you stop the casting during playback on that other device it will ask it you want to continue on phone.
