Hi,
With Secure connections set to REQUIRED, I can cast from app.plex.tv in the Chrome Browser op pc to my Google Home Mini. The green padlock shows the connection is secure.
However if I want to cast from the Android Plex app to the Mini, I get the message
“Unable to connect> Speaker is unable to connect to server securely, and insecure connections ars not permitted.”
How come?
Will adding a Custom Certificate under Network help me in any way to cast with a secure connection?

Ya’ll can change the server/client settings:
Server - Preferred instead of Required.
Plex Apps - Fallback to insecure connections ‘on local network only’.
Plex Apps - make sure ‘Advertise as Player/Server’ are ticked (so everyone can talk to one another to get this done).
This is true.
But I was wondering how come casting from browser in desktop is secure, while casting from Android is not secure.
No clue.
Is everything on the same network and signed in? If so, we’ve effectively covered my experience with this issue. At my house it just works. <—provided the target app is open and ready to receive instructions…
