Can I create "User and Password"

I am very confused as of how the users work.

So I have my plex server, which is working great. Gave new life to an old Core2Duo now upgraded to quad.
I want to share the access with some family members or close friends.

But I don’t understand how this “Invite a friend works”

I want to create them a Username and a password, and voila, they just log in. to plex.tv/desktop

Or do they need to login first with my main admin account ? which in a way cancels out the reason why I purchased the Plex Life.

I think I now understand how it works.
invite friend, would be me sharing my plex information with another plex user.

So I need to create home users, and they can switch from one to another after logging in using my main account, which would be pin protected.
(Now to figure out the difference between the 2 home friends options)
