How can i recover my library. It has gone missing in the last week
What version number is your server? What is it installed on ( Mac, Windows, Linux etc)? Is it not showing in any player app? Have you done basic things like restarting your server? Is it not showing at all or just have an exclamation point next to libraries indicating it is offline?
Version 4.147.1 on windows 10, not showing anywhere, have restarted server and also restarted modem, no exclamation mark
That is the web app version, not server verion and an old one. You should update your server as a first trouble shooting step
Your Plex media server hasn’t been seen by plex.tv since ~ 4 months.
So first thing is to check whether it is actually running on your server machine. Look for the Plex logo in the task tray area.

updated server version to 1.42.2.10156
Taking a look it seems like you have two different accounts and your server is claimed by the other one. but the web app player is signed into your account that you are using on this forum.
The other account begins with the letter g (as does it’s email) and that shows a server just updated recently to 1.42.2.10156
That would be my husband but we never use that. one. Can I just delete his?
Can I just delete Plex and reinstall it. If I do and this is a fix, do I need to know any kind of password to get back?
I would not delete and reisntall.
if he does not know his Plex password, on the sign in page there is a “forgot” link where you enter your husbands email to send him reset instructions.
When he sets up new password sign as him
Go to general settings of server (not of web app)
hit the REMOVE button to unclaim the server as his accont
Sign out of web app as him in the upper right
sign in as yourself
go to same settings and claim for your own account.
If for some reason you cannot reset password. You can use the info here to remove the claim info manually from the server and after it restarts you can claim it for your own account to be the admin after signing in..
We are computer illiterates, he was unable to see this REMOVE button and not even sure correct way to go to the server it is suppose to show up on
