Although I purchased a Plex pass several months ago, I am just now trying seriously to make things work. I am making pretty good progress, however, the replay just freezes when I try to fast forward.
Many things are working well. I have the Plex server installed on a WD PR2100 and I am watching using a Nvidia Shield. The DVR records as promised and the commercials are eliminated beautifully. (I have not figured out if this is done by the Plex Cloud or by my own MCEBuddy software). However, the issues I have to solve are fast forwarding and the guide. I understand there will be an update to the guide so it will look like it does on cable TV soon.) When I try to fast forward a TV program, however, the replay just freezes. Or, if it comes back, it goes to the start of the program. Is this likely a problem with my set up or is it a limitation of the program or a bug? I downloaded the latest server software for the WD PR2100 so that should be current. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
