Can someone please help me once and for all with the remote access?

I ran nmap against the IP you reported and port 9091 showed as the only open port.

9091 is not Plex its some Apache server I was just saying you have that port open so however you have that setup do the same for 32400 but going to your Plex IP.

Yeah when you get back try that and we can get this working for you hopefully!

so if you use UPnP then the check mark is not necessary

Also it might be worth mentioning, that before, I never had to checkmark the manual port (32400). It always connected remotely automatically

but if and when you port forward you do need to check the box

also it kind of looks like you may have a double nat issue (from your logs):

Feb 24, 2018 09:50:13.746 [16248] DEBUG - NAT: UPnP, found device http://192.168.1.1:49152/4a767369/gatedesc0b.xml with private address <192.168.1.150>
Feb 24, 2018 09:50:13.777 [16248] DEBUG - NAT: UPnP, usable device http://192.168.1.1:49152/4a767369/gatedesc0b.xml with private address

UPnP is finding a device with a private address???

OK I am back. So what should I do first? The log you are looking at, problems began February 18 I think. I’m not sure what any of it means or how it doubled.

Since port 9091 is open, how can I use it with Plex? I have no idea what this Apache thing is, I have never heard of it or used it.

Well I decided to call my cable company (Spectrum). They are scratching their heads too. They said I have everything set up correctly and they said they’re sorry but there is nothing they can do and I should “contact support for this Plex player” which they had never heard of.

plex-linux, are you able to help me correct the double nat issue? Could that be the problem?

If the IP in your router is the same as shown on canyousee.org matches it is not a double Nat issue.

Can you provide the following info.

Plex server IP and mask
Plex server gateway
Router inside IP and mask
Router outside IP

And a full screen shot of the port forwarding config from your router.

Thanks for still helping man. Roku devices continue to play fine lol which blows my mind. Everyone else is S.O.L.

I might need some help on identifying some of this stuff. Like I don’t know what you mean by mask. If you mean am I blocking the number from people, not to my knowledge, I never set it up at least.

Plex server IP 192.168.1.4 (PRIVATE) 75.187.128.162 (PUBLIC)

Not sure what the other stuff is but hopefully the first pic of this command prompt will answer. Second pic is the port forward.

Did you verify your firewall or security settings on that guy?

In the first pic is my current firewall settings. Please tell me if something needs to be changed.

Also, please look at the second pic here. I am scratching my head here man. First off, how is someone accessing my library (and not using a roku). Secondly, I have no idea who that Andy is!

it appears from your screenshot that you plex server address is actually 192.168.1.150 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 (see screenshot below)

your public ip could very well be 75.187.128.162 (how did you get that info?)

also to get your router inside and outside network you would normally go into the router and look for the lan network setting (usually starts with 192.168) and your wan or Internet settings

OK thanks. So what do I need to change to correct that? Also 75.187.128.162 is my public address on my remote access page.

Could this be a problem? (Pic below)

Notice in my firewall that Plex media server.exe, its not check marked on public. Only problem is, it won’t let me check mark it either. I am just looking for anything at this point. I can’t believe this still isn’t working.

Can you disable the firewall altogether?

Tried it. Even restarted router, modem and computer for a fresh start. Firewall is not the problem. Another poster was talking about double NAT. Can anyone walk me threw that? I am holding out hope that the next update comes out soon and fixes this.

Double Nat is if your wan IP or external IP of your router doesn’t match what canyouseeme.org shows.

Can you check that?

Guys, I came across this while searching for answers on my problem which is the same what @jbryan1984 is going through. Ill follow this post to see if the solution works for me too. Do let me know if I can attach my logs also. Just jotting down the diagnostics ive done so far.

-Am in double NAT situation only. Using reserved IP for now. Will get Static IP if that is the only solution.
-ISP said they have no problems on their end.
-It was working file like a month back.
-Portforwarding sites dont show my port open but I have opened the ports. Have tried multiple ports also.
-Plex works within the network but not outside it.

Thanks in Advance!!

Never been in a double nat situation so I have no idea how helpful this will be.

Man, I don’t even know where to find that. On canyouseeme.org, it says my ip is 75.187.128.162, and the only other place I can find that number is in Plex as my public ip. When I test it with port 32400, it says connection timed out.

So, I have become desperate here. I want this fixed. I will paypal anyone who can fix this 20 dollars. Whether we do it step by step in a private chat, exchange numbers and text, I will paypal you 20 dollars to walk me threw this and fix it. Let me know. Thanks.

I don’t want your money. Can you login to your sagecom and find a wan, network or general status page with ips on it?

Are you talking about these?
