Maybe have to do with the new ios 18.4. at android device the plex app run normal

Either 18.4 or 18.3.x iOS devices.
Stuck at the first screen asking to select favourites, and Continue button is useless.
Plex still worked for me on iOS 18.3. Then it’s due to the new Plex update V2025.10.2. I find it pathetic that Plex doesn’t have chat support. The customer is simply left hanging, but they’re happy to take the money for the lifetime account.

Thanks for reporting. We are aware and looking into it. If you force quit app and relaunch does it do the same?
Do you only have music or photo libraries? Those are not supported in new app and require Plex amp or Plex Photos
Tried many times to kill app, uninstall app even, restart it many times.
No luck.
And even looked at network flows, which seem very quiet .
I may confirm no DNS filters, no HTTP filter, nothing… and yet it stays stuck at that first screen
No music nor photo library.
Just videos. Some of them were downloaded on device before upgrade though.
Same issue here on iPad 17.6.1
No help from plex. the users have to help themselves. This is unacceptable and really ridiculous. I expect help from Plex support because my iphone ist not alone with that failure
I’ve struggled with this today, got a resolution and explanation from Plex on reddit.
Short Answer is;
• Plex is now only for Movies
• PlexAMP is for music
- there is a bug - which is resolvable, to get past the blank onboarding screen.

Maybe Plex should create a FAQ post of common issues with the new app and how to resolve them? Make it a post on the top right when you login to the forums?
Or are they not willing to admit there are issues?
Well I don’t know who that ‘Plex Employee’ is, but that is BS! I have a ‘Movie’ and ‘TV’ lib, and I can’t progress that screen either. @BigWheel there are plenty of reports (inc reddit and this thread Can`t continue Screen about my Favourite Libraries - #11 by eMpTy) from others saying they have video libs and still have the issue, and your colleagues are too busy posting updates on reddit rather than keeping their own thread updates with apparent [incorrect] diagnosis and updates. Can you update your bug database accordingly, or is reddit your bug tracker?
yeah and the user @eMpTy who replied after my initial reply here constructively told me that. And I have already passed that along to the development team which is in our internal bug tracker. sorry we don’t make bug tracker public
I don’t expect you to make your bug tracker public, rather saying that your colleagues would be better updating their formal threads primarily, rather than here there and everywhere on reddit.
i’m not getting into a debate about that here. This topic is about getting stuck on the favorite libraries screen. If you want to discuss that then please do so. else I will consider it off topic.
