Can’t Reset Password nor Update Password

Got and email for the following

A new device was used to sign in to your Plex account:

Account: walgarin

Device: Plex Website

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (estimated)

IP address: 50.117.66.170

This was the 3rd time my email has been change, so I change the password only to find out that the server does not recognize my credentials.

When I go to account settings the password will not stick with my email address, also in the security I’ve tried to change the password but I can’t figure out what it the current password since it was change somehow, how can I fix this since my server is not working

The language is a bit confusing. You have to be able to sign in to the correct account first.

Once you actually sign in there is a process to claim the server

These sound like the same thing but they’re two separate steps

I’m not clear what is going on. if your email was changed then you should have gotten a notice of the change with an option to revert…

if you don’t know the password go to the regular sign in page https://www.plex.tv/sign-in/ and hit the Forgot link to get a reset email with instructions. If you are already signed in then you may want to do so in an incognito/private window
