Can wacht on web , allways show plex pass

Hi everyone,

I have a Plex media server on a TrueNAS. I added content and it worked on my local network, both on the TV and the web, using the server’s IP address. However, after adding more content and updating the website, this content no longer connects to the TV or the website using the local IP address. When I try to watch any content, Plex displays a Plex Pass ad. After this, I added the IP address to the TV and it works, but I can’t watch anything on the web; the Plex Pass ad always appears. I remember that Plex Pass is only for watching content outside my network.

Anybody can give me an advice?

Hello, none of the listed cases explain why Plex continues to consider me a remote user. I simply want to be able to watch it on my TV or online at my location. It should allow me to do this; Plex is only meant to be viewed outside my network, which isn’t feasible for me. In my settings, I’ve configured it to only accept IPv4, disabled rebroadcasting, added my host to the allowed networks, and turned off remote access, but it still forces me to pay for the Plex pass. It must be some configuration I’m missing, but I don’t know what it is. This is what I need help with. I hope you can assist me. Thank you very much.

What would happen if I deleted the server and recreated it? Would it work? Would I have to recreate the libraries?

All of the points listed are very relevant for your use case.
Starting with item 1) in particular, because TrueNAS appears to make use of containerization for all non-default apps you can run on it.

Most likely your main issue won’t be solved. And you would potentially lose all of your liubraries and the metadata Plex has collected so far.
