Cancel access to app.plext.tv

Hey
There is a way to completely disable access to users through app.plext.tv and use only my private domain (it is already set) only this thing bothers me very much then there is this option to disable plex media server access and access to plex will only be through my domain?

Thanks Itay

If you mean if you can access plex web via your domain or even IP, that’s surely possible, but for users to login the app will still use https://app.plex.tv/auth.

There’s also other request to either plex.tv but the access to the server will still be via your’e domain.

So if the question is “can I not get redirected to app.plex.tv” for login… nope you can’t.

Of course when the session is saved you shouldn’t see the redirect again.

As for login I know that I must app.plex.tv and only in plex pass can I create a local account

I meant that if you log in to the Plex.tv account for pressing Launch then it puts me on my server even though I have disabled remote access on the server

No, they would need to go to your domain initially. The login prompt will still ask to authenticate them and then they will be redirected to you domain, but if they go to plex.tv and hit the launch button they will be taken to the hosted version.

The “Launch” button simply points the the Web Client we host at app.plex.tv, so nothing we can do there…

If you’re just looking for a direct link to the server on LAN, you could use the “plex.direct” url.

There’s a few ways you can get it, one would be to go the the “Download Logs” link this should give you the server url with the “plex.direct” domain.

You could also enable VERBOSE logging and filter the logs for plex.direct you should see some lines with the full url.

Does that help?

Not really but thank you anyway and now to the question I hope there is a possibility to do it
What about applications in Windows / Mac or in IOS and Android has the option of there it will only be through my domain because I notice it goes through app.Plex.tv

Please have the option!
