Cannot access nothing will play in clients

The status page says it back up and running but I can only access my content on my phone and can’t cast it. I can’t access my content on Roku, Fire TV, or PC using app.plex.tv. Trying to play anything give me a “playback error”. And nothing shows up in my Collections. It just says “something went wrong” for all of them.

I’ve restarted my NAS and Plex instance twice. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for letting me know,. I still can’t access my content.

@questvr3 can you access it via. localNASip:32400/web ?

Yes I can. I can see all my content on my all devices/clients but can only play things on my phone and playback errors out when I try casting from my phone.

NAS is up to date. Fire TV and Roku clients are up to date. I had no issues until the API went down. I was playing a movie, stopped it to run an errand, and when I came back I saw the API issue. I waited until that was resolved then tired resuming my movie but keep getting errors. I’ve logged out and back into clients. Restarted my plex instance on my NAS. Restarted my NAS and even rebooted my router and modem. I still can’t play anything except for on my phone.

Hey moved your posts to a new topic so I don’t confuse yours and others details.

Ok. Thanks

I know you restarted your server but have you restarted the devices or force quit the app on them and relaunched.

Also on the FireTV can you set “allow insecure connections” to “on the same network” and let me know if that changes anything.

Yes I did that for the Roku and Fire TV. I normally have “allow insecure connections” set to “on the same network”. On the Fire TV it looks like that was reset to off (Maybe because of the free Live TV update). I turned it back on and was able to play the movie I was watching.

Both Roku clients were already set to allow that and I still can’t play anything. The preview client nor the regular client.

It’s also set to on using app.plex.tv or myip:32400/web and nothing plays. I get this error.
The items are there. They play when open them through explorer in VLC. So I don’t understand what’s going on. Seems the API issue did something or isn’t quite resolved.

Also over the past few days I’ve been getting “Database Corrupt” notifications. Could that be contributing to this? I hadn’t gotten around to looking into why it was happening but also didn’t have any issues playing anything. Again that all started today after the API issue.

I fixed the database corruption issue with an older backup and that seems to have fixed my issues. I also had an issue where I lost my custom setup in Home that I made a separate thread for that no one replied to. It seems to have fixed that as well.
