On DSM 7, we must give System Internal User PlexMediaServer permission to read the media.

At every install, the final Success message contains the instructions..
.. but nobody reads the instructions ..

You should not be looking on your mac for anything here.

Everything is through Safari/Chrome to the PMS window which is PMS running on the Syno

The moment you start going through Finder, you’re already going the wrong way

You want -

1. Open safari
2. Open the Syno desktop (http://lan.ip.of.syno:5000)
3. Now you set permissions.

For PMS

1. Open PMS (http://Lan.ip.of.syno:32400/web
2. Add library section
