Cannot change metadata: Your changes could not be saved

Player Version#: Version 4.8.4

I get the error “Your changes cannot be saved” when I try to edit any metadata for any of my media. This is a new development; it did not happen with earlier versions of Plex. This is the first time I’ve tried since upgrading plex. I’m running Plex on a Synology DS 916+ NAS. I’m connecting to the server directly though local IP:

http://10.0.0.9:32400/web/

Any advice appreciated.
