Sorry, but how can I correct my IP address, as you stated? My server was correctly recognized until 3 days ago, and now it is not accesible from any PLEX app (TV, web, phone…) I have a DS218
I think I did it wrong, but I recently deleted the preferences.xml log in my NAS server, as someone recommended it to me…nothing happened
Hi trumpy81, sorry for writing in different posts, I thought it could be seen by more users and may get help. Thanks for your quick response!!!
My NAS LAN IP is 192.168.1.XX, which was working until 3 days from now… I don’t remember doing anything special, but maybe i touched something. I have checked now, and Plex app works in mobile and tablet, both Androir, but it’s not working, neither on LG TV nor Windows 10 laptop. No hardware has been added or changed into the network…
thank you very much, great analysis, but it’s not recognizing it yet…from mobile devices it appears now as disconnected also. I will keep trying, but I don’t get why this is happening., no changes have been made, PLEX suddenly stopped recognizing its environment…
No, I mean that mobile devices do not find server. from Plex app.
All data is accessible from Laptop, mobile, tablet, A/V Receiver, etc, (with other apps) but not from Plex app, neither from web, androids or TV…
I don’t know how to claim the server. I got the PMS installed in my NAS (it worked fine until last monday).
When I enter the Plex app from NAS the message ‘No soup for you!’ is displayed (This message is shown since I deleted the preferences.xml file).
I click on settings and can see settings related with my account and PLEX web, nothing about server or libraries. Then I can click on the home button, and several categories are displayed, such as Movies&TV, Web Shows, Tidal, etc…One of this categories is ‘YOUR MEDIA’ (Last week this was my NAS). when I click on this button, the ‘Get Plex Media Server’ screen is displayed, inviting me to download PMS, which i have already installed…
I have signed out several times in all possible devices and then signed in, with same results…
I have now intruduced manually the NAS LAN IP (192.168.1.XX) in TV Plex App and now media can be seen. I assume that this option will not be valid from remote, right? forcing manually the LAN IP will only be valid from the same network, am I correct?
Don’t worry, I can now access to my NAS from Local, introducing manually the NAS LAN IP.
It was not necessary for the first two months in which I’ve been using PLEX App, and I presume that NAS will not be accessible from another location.
I am really thankful for the time you have spent trying to help me!!
I can open plex/web and access settings, but server is not detected. App invites me to install PMS, while it is already intalled in NAS.
From TV app i have now introduced LAN NAS IP manually an it is accessibe. For that reason is that think that it will not be accessible from mobile devices remotely
