I am unable to connect remotely I am getting this error:
[HttpClient/HCl#4e] HTTP error requesting GET https://***********.78e7b66aa6d44655aab34bac466dc8a7.plex.direct:32400/identity (7, Couldn’t connect to server) (Failed to connect to *************.78e7b66aa6d44655aab34bac466dc8a7.plex.direct port 32400 after 1834 ms: Couldn’t connect to server)
I have port forwarding enabled and confirmed that with my ISP that port 32400 is not being blocked. I set the truenas dns to 8.8.8.8 and that didnt work.
Have you verified the port forward is visible/accessible from outside your home network (e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org)?
The log snippet isn’t showing any issues resolving the URL, so it doesn’t seem to be a DNS issue (though, not much can be said based on just those 2 lines of log).
Did you already have a look at the related troubleshooting support article?
Was it working before and just stopped? Or is this a new setup? Do you have the plex container in host mode to avoid any issues with the default bridge setup? It’s a checkbox during the plex config on the TrueNAS.
