Cannot connect to local plex server on MAC

Have had this recurring issue for awhile where Plex stops working suddenly and is only available on certain users remote with no access locally.

This works for access but media doesn’t play and library isn’t updating. I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Plex as well as a system restart.

FYI, you should turn off Ad Block Plus and any other ad/cookie blockers for any Plex sites - plex.tv, local server addresses, etc.

I don’t believe it will help with your current problem. However, Plex does use cookies, so anything that blocks them can cause problems with the Plex web client.
