My collection consists of over 1500 movies but i have atleast 2 movies that Plex wont pick up. Im trying to find the second movie but the first one in question is S.W.A.T.
Things i have tried:
Rename the movie to SWAT
Remove the movie from the dir, rescan, readd, rescan
full folder name is as follows:
S.W.A.T.2003.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264
file name is as follows:
S.W.A.T.2003.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264.mkv
I have tried to look around but cant find a way to “force” plex to see this movie
These 2 movies are in your storage location but not in your plex server?
What is your server?
That is very relevant as my NAS server has a different number to my Shield server.
If u using a Shield it’s a bug.
Plex probably did see your movies, but since you did not follow these naming guide, it’s possible they got merged with another movie. In Plex web, user the duplicates filter to find movies that have been merged and see if your 2 movies are included with these.
Just an update, it actually got tagged as a completely different movie so one i found it i forced it to rescan that movie and got it to tag correctly

…and a Plex Dance may be needed after the renaming
