After the password breach, I changed my password and lost access to my server. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the server, cleared my browser cache, and still cannot get it to see the media server. It just says “no soup for you, you do not have access to this server”. I triple-checked that the permissions have not changed. I am not a techy guy so any explained help would be greatly appreciated.
Install / upgrade (NORMAL INSTALL)
– This will take time if you have a lot of metadata – don’t worry. It won’t hang.
After it’s done, if you still don’t have PMS visible.
Uninstall with the “KEEP” option (first choice radio button)
Reinstall the same SPK again (the one you just installed).
– Choose the “Install using Plex Claim Token” radio button
– Click “Get Plex Claim Token” link.
– A browser tab will open.
– COPY the token it gives you (it will be in your browser)
– Return to the installation tab
– PASTE the token in the small box on the installation menu
– Click NEXT and DONE.
PMS will now be installed again
– While installing (the only time we can do this),
– The installer will communicate with Plex.tv and obtain new server credentials for you
– Those credentials will be written in your Preferences.xml file for you
– The installation will finish and confirm “Claimed by: Your Username”
