I did the password reset as recommended from Plex and signed in with the new password on my devices (Android & Roku).
I have my media content stored on a Synology DS220j NAS. I cleared my browser’s cache and signed into my NAS. When I launch the package in my NAS, it directs me to my Plex account. When I click on Your Media, the response is Get Plex Media Server. This is where I’m confused. I thought the Plex package installed on my Synology NAS was the Plex Media Server. Do I need to upgrade/reinstall the Synology PMS package? Or do I need to adjust some Synology setting?
How do I get access to my media back? Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks! My Synology can now access the Plex Media Server from all of my clients. I opened this post in connection to my WIN10 laptop. This laptop has the DVD drive that is necessary to upload content.
I want to fill in the gaps to the solution you proposed. Some tips:
*Start off by downloading the Arm 8 Plex Media Server when re-directed by the Plex package.
Do NOT use the Synology Beta version of Plex. It’s not ready for prime time. Manually install the above downloaded package.
*After the successful (re)install of the Plex Media Server. You should see the following instructions (attached image).
You should be in business. If Plex Media Server still does not show your content, come back later. It might take a while to Sync.
Thanks again for your response. I hope this thread proves useful.
