I have ripped the original Star Trek series from Blu-ray which has both the original and enhanced versions of each episode. I want the original and enhanced episodes to show up as different items in my library, but no matter what I do, I can’t get the Split Apart option to show for the show. I have read several threads on this subject including several that cover Star Trek and the original/enhanced episodes. I have followed the advice and suggestions in those threads, but I still can’t get it to work. I am trying to split at the show level, where it is is supported, and not at the season or episode level.
Again the library points to the second TV Shows directory (not the first). Here is the Get Info from one of the episodes that shows it is seeing both files:
I have done the Plex Dance multiple times. I also tried to move both individual Star Trek directories up one level so they reside directly under the TV Shows directory, but that didn’t work.
Thanks for the reply @OttoKerner. As mentioned in my post I tried that but that didn’t fix the problem. The reason I put them in a subfolder is because I thought I read in another post to do it that way. I will move them back up one level, do the Plex Dance, and report back what happens.
@OttoKerner@dane22 Ok that fixed the problem, but I SWEAR I did this several times earlier today and it did not fix the problem. I am not sure what I did differently this time. With that said I did notice that the Split Apart is only showing up in one place which is when I click into the show. Does it not show the option one level up when I am looking at the whole library? Maybe this is what was getting me earlier and why I was not seeing it? Maybe I was only looking for the option at the library level.
