I was using an external USB shared from a window 7 pc as the location of my media files.I had it mounted from the Nvidia Shield and added a library for the plex media server on the shield and it worked well that way for several months. It quit working about a month ago, no longer finding the media files. The external USB drive no longer shows up as a location to mount on the shield.I can still mount the PC that the external drive is connected to but it does see the HD itself. I can access the external drive using the KODI app on the shield and I can access the drive from any of the others PC’s on my network. I tried adding manually which also failed.
I am a monthly pass member which I was only using for the organizational properties of plex, the live tv/ DVR function is unusable from constant freezing while the HDHomerun app on the shield rans great. I have been hoping for an upgrade to fix the freezes.
Not being to access the external USB makes PLEX useless to me at the moment.
