Firstly, new here so go easy on me. Secondly apologies if this has already been answered but I have done a a lot searching and not found the answers I am looking for. I have been using a 2013 Windows 7 laptop as my PMS with connected external hard drives. I have now started ripping 4K discs and the laptop is not powerful enough to stream them. I purchased a Nvidia shield pro to be the new MS but would like to keep the external hard drives out of my living room because of the noise. I have connected the shield to the laptop using the mounted network storage option. Trying to add the media files located on the external hard drive to Plex library there is no option to link them. Only the files on the internal hard drive are available to select. I have set the external hard drive to be shared across my network. Any ideas why I can’t select the external hard drive?
