If I use the remote to navigate down from the 1st TV episode in a season to the buttons below it, it will "shake: the episode icon but will not move down. If I navigate right to a second episode I can navigate down. If there is only one episode I cannot navigate down at all.
Is that unique to a particular show or it does this for the first ep of every show/season?

Can you confirm version number of app you are using, the model apple TV you have, and what version of tvOS is on it.
For me tvOS 15
Apple TV 4K (2021)
Running latest Plex TestFlight.
(At work at the moment so can’t check the app version.)

Actually, apologies.
There’s a separate issue regarding Apple TV on tvOS 16 that’s far more of an issue, regarding surround sound (or lack of).
I’m upgrading my Apple TV back to tvOS 16 to test this other issue out and will happily give feedback on whether this particular issue is also “a thing” on tvOS 16.
It may be a day or two before I can confirm.

Issue exist on all episode listings, regardless of library.

One of our devs was able to repro today on tvOS 16 (but not 15) They are having a look

Seems fixed in build 3900 though not mentioned in the release notes.
Also the Surround audio issues raised in other threads seems fixed also.
