Player Version#: Web Browser and Nvidia Shield
Hello,
I have tried 3 different copies from 720p to 4k of the mandalorian s2e3 and none will play. They play fine on my PC using VLC but cannot stream to shield or web browser on PC. Can someone help me to understand what is going on with these files?

Hardware acceleration is enabled. I’ve been using this work around to get the ability for people to play files remotely. Everything plays but the Mandalorian.
Sudo -i
(Enter - enter password - enter)
rm /volume1/@appstore/Plex\ Media\ Server/lib/dri/iHD_drv_video.so
(enter - should give you no warning or feedback)
Restart Plex in DSM. Done.
I keep trying but keep getting the error that I don’t have proper privilege to save the file. I do have R/W access to the entire Plex folder for the use I’m logged into.
Same issue with the privileges error when using admin account.
I’m assuming it is but I’m not sure how to change ownership.
Okay, It’s running through saving now. Stand by. (thanks for the help btw. This has been pissing me off for a long time).
Same error about privileges when trying to save. I’ve opened/closed text editor to make sure. .
Uninstalled and reinstalled text editor. Same error. I’m logged in as admin.
Could I download the file and edit it in notepad++ then upload/overwrite the file that is there? I know I can overwrite files.
Well crap. Is there anyway to nuke the plex folders and do a full re-install? I can’t see any way to reset DSM without loosing my data which would be terrible.
Still no dice. I am so unhappy that I switched to a Synology server for plex vs the windows one I was using. I want to reset my synology but can’t find away do it without loosing my data and I don’t have a backup large enough to store my files.

Reinstalled DSM and still can’t edit that file. Same error, using admin account, tried the privileges as well. No go. So frustrating. Need to head to bed, 4am comes quick.
I did stop Plex. Odd thing is I was able to watch the show this morning. Haven’t tried remote streaming.
Finally got the xml file to be edited on the NAS. And now my NAS can play 4k files remotely. Thanks for the help @trumpy81. Hopefully plex will fix the broken IHD driver issue soon.

Quick question. Since the iHD driver issue is fixed do I need to go into the .xml file and remove the Vappidriver - i965 line?
