Server Version#: 1.42.2.10102-720010102
Player Version#: Plexamp v4.12.4
Synology DS22J DSM: 7.2.2-72806 Update 4
I lost access from PlexAmp almost a year ago, been trying to resolve ever since.
PlexMediaServer would not run on the NAS, it would go through start-up, but as soon as it got to “Running” it stopped with a “Manually Stopped” message.
I have tried Uninstall/Reinstall,
Uninstall-Keep/Reinstall with/without trying to Claim server
I managed to get PMS to run, and complete the Server Setup screen, only to consistently get “Unable to Claim server”
Uninstall everything/Reinstall with trying to Claim server
PlexMediaServer does start the PlexWeb page, but the latest message I get is during Server Setup;
”A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.”
Nothing has worked… and the forums don’t seem to provide an answer. Please help?
I attach logs from todays attempted install;
Plex Crash Uploader.log (615 Bytes)
Plex Tuner Service.log (1.2 KB)
Plex Media Server.log (848.4 KB)
From Plex Media Server.log:

Plex Media Server is not picking up the IP address of the Ethernet interface.
How is the NAS connected to your network?
-
Make sure the Ethernet cable is firmly attached at both ends.
-
Double check the NAS network configuration via Synology Control Panel → Network.
-
In Synology Control Panel → Regional Options, synchronize the NAS with a public NTP server. You should see Status = Normal.
-
Restart the NAS.
-
After the NAS restarts, login and try to start Plex Media Server.
-
If Plex Media Server still does not start, in Synology File Station, navigate to /PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server. Right click on the Logs directory and choose Compress to Logs.zip. Download the zip file and attach it to the thread.
Thank you for the info.
It’s all working now, but I had to fully remove PMS from the NAS, set it up on my Mac with NAS direct connected by Ethernet cable, to validate the media directories, then fully uninstall from Mac, reinstall (claim server) on the NAS (wireless connection), and it’s been working since.
I still have no idea why it stopped working, though suspect a DMS version conflict.
Thanks again
