Cannot reclaim Synology PMS Server

I am going through the change password as recommended due to recent breach and I am having problems reclaiming my PMS on synology.

I have VPNed into my network and ran the web app through the local IP address ( Plex) but the server does not show up and trying the settings also fails.

I tried downloading and running the ClaimIt script on the LAN. The results are in the attached image.

what else should I try?

Thanks for the link, Synology FAQ #21 helped me after resetting the password and getting the error message “You are not authorized to connect to this server”.

G

you mention FAQ #21 which is FAQ 21: After migrating from Windows to Synology but the link you shared points to FAQ 15: Claiming & Connecting to a troublesome Synology server

is #15 the correct one you mean to refer to?

Folks,

To add to Otto,

If you are running DSM 7, everything you need is already in the Synology package

  1. Uninstall the package with the “Uninstall Only – KEEP” option

  2. Now Manual Install the SPK file again

  3. At the first menu, Click “Install using Plex Claim Token”

  4. Also click “Get Plex Claim Token” link.

  5. A browser tab will open and show you your claim token

  6. COPY that token

  7. Come back to the Syno package install screen and PASTE it into the little box on the installer menu page.

  8. Click NEXT and DONE

  9. It will start installing the code again – AND – it will claim it for you.

  10. When it’s done, It will confirm by showing your Plex username in the final popup.

Yes. The “#21” is automatically inserted by the forum system, because it is the 21st post in that thread.

I uninstalled and re-installed. I am back up and running.
