Can't find my library on server

Server Version#: ??
Player Version#: ??
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled> Since plex in a recent mail asked users to change password - which I did - I lost connection to my synology server. In the plex-app on my iphone It says: kimnas offline.
How do I solve this problem?

DSM Version? 6? 7?

7 … the newest

  1. https://downloads.plex.tv
    – Download the latest build for your machine

  2. Package Center
    – Uninstall PMS – Use the KEEP (first button) option

  3. Package Center
    – Manual Install
    – Give it the SPK file you just downloaded
    – Next we’ll use the Plex Claim Token method to reclaim the server as it installs

I have all the screenshots and instructions here again to help guide.

It’s beyond my pc / synology /plex knowledge. I have to wait until next week where I can ask a friend to help me with this. Unfortunately I don’t have any ideas of what this means

What is a PMS and a SPK file? And what is “The plex claim token method”???
You see…. I got problems. Damn… I should never had change that password

@kimserritslev

From what I can see,

  1. You have a DS218+
  2. You do have Plex installed on it,

Right?

How did you setup Plex on it? Do you remember?

@kimserritslev

PMS = Plex Media Server
SPK = When installing an application on a Synology NAS, the file that is uploaded to the NAS ends in .spk. It is somewhat analogous to a .exe file used to install applications on a Windows PC.

Please verify the exact version of DSM on your NAS.

  • Login to the NAS. Double click on the Synology Control Panel and choose Info Center.
  • The DSM version is listed on the Info tab.
  • For example, the version on my NAS is DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 4

Please verify the version of Plex Media Server installed on your NAS.

  • Open Synology Package Center, choose Installed, and find Plex Media Server.
  • Do not click on Open or Run.
  • Instead, click on the Plex Media Server icon. This will display additional information, including the installed version of Plex Media Server.
  • For example, my NAS shows Installed version: 1.42.1.10060-720010060.

What happened and how to fix it

When you changed your Plex account password it unclaimed your server, i.e., removed it from your account. You did not do anything wrong. That is how Plex works.

You need to re-claim the server, which will reconnect it to your Plex account.

The process provided by ChuckPa is straightforward. Basically, you uninstall, then re-install, Plex Media Server on the NAS. During the re-install, you paste a code from https://plex.tv/claim into one of the windows when prompted. If successful, you will see a pop-up window displaying “PlexMediaServer successfully claimed by <your_username>.”

The FAQ contains screenshots of the process. Look it over and reply back with any questions.

Thanks to you all guys for helping me
