So I want to go through all my files that have been merged, but there is no way to filter or show which have been merged. In the second photo on this website it shows the icon and number of how many merged files, but I do not have that (Merge or Split Items | Plex Support). Any way to get this to show or a way to filter all merged files?
Use the “Duplicates” filter.
Don’t forget to switch the library to “episodes” view mode if you are in a TV shows library.
It doesn’t seem to work. Let me rephrase what happens.
My folders are being merged together with other folders. So by viewing episodes it doesn’t help.
I have set up a new folder per season, but for some series it likes to put 2 seasons into a folder. And when that happens I cannot see in my library if it’s merged or not, and to split apart I have to unmatch.
Please define what you mean when you say “folder”.
Are you referring to something in the Plex user interface or to the actual folder in the media storage?
So I have several folders such as this:
“c:\series\series 1”
“c:\series\series 2”
And on plex media server it puts these two together when it shouldn’t. Then when I go onto plex I cannot see what has been merged together.
After unmatching the series, only then I can split it. I get no merged series badge on the top left of the series that’s grouped before and after unmatching.
So is there any way to know what has been merged together?
I still don’t understand what you actually did.
What kind of “series” are we talking about?
Is it the british definition where “series” means “season”
or do you mean different “tv shows”?
How many libraries (that’s the items on the left hand side bar) did you create inside Plex?
And if it was only one library, how did you add the folders to it? Only once, by adding the folder C:\series, or did you add each subfolder individually, by adding c:\series\series 1 and c:\series\series 2 individually to the same library.
(You can check this by editing the library, then looking at the “Add Folders” tab)
