Cannot set up the Plex Media Server
Fresh Ubuntu 22.04 VM
Fresh Plex Media Server installation
I call up the Plex via http://172.16.20.200/web and get
the following message:
No authorization
You do not have permission to access this server.
You can probably assign it to your account by selecting “Open Plex…” from the MacOS menu bar or the Windows system tray. For more troubleshooting tips, see .
What am I doing wrong?
Are you inside the same subnet when trying to connect to your server in order to finish the setup?

The server runs in my home lab, I am connected to the server in the office at work via VPN
Can this cause the error?

Just tested with a VM in the same subnet. It works.
