Can't acces plex folder anymore locally

Server Version#:1.18.3.2156-349e9837e
Player Version#:

Let me preface this by saying I’m not experienced at all with network drives but last year I bought a nas with the purpose of running plex, set it up and all went well untill now.

I’m running plex from a synology ds218+. Last night i backed up the nas to an external drive and couldn’t acces the plex folder on my desktop or any of my devices but I figured it it was just due to the backup. This morning I still couldnt acces it locally. I can acces plex via the app.plex.tv.
Things I’ve tried so far:
Updating to the latest driver
Rebooting nas
Rebooting desktop
Removed my desktop acces from the list of devices

I have a folder on the nas which I use for non-plex content and I can acces that fine!

When I try to map the drive in windows 10, i can see my nas, the non plex content folder, and the plex folder. But whenever I try to acces the Plex folder it asks for a username and password (which hasn’t changed) I get the following error:
“The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mapping to this network share”

or when trying to acces the folder:
“\Ds218\Plex is not accessible. You don’t have the correct authorization for this network…”

I would very much appreciate any help.

God damn it. Spent all day trying to fix it and it turns out the update removed read/write acces in the nas control center for my user account.

Solved.

Mind me asking why you’re accessing the Plex share ?

It contains no normal user data. It exists as a safe storage area for your metadata & posters.
