Can't Access My Plex Server Remotely

Server Version#:1.16.3.1402
Player Version#:7.19.2.11789

Hello. I can’t access the Plex server that is running on my Shield TV. I’ve tried from my tablet and phone, both running Android. I used to be able to, but that hasn’t been the case for a few months, now. I am not sure why. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am in the same boat. I have check setting after setting and nothing. I wish there was help on this.

No one? Bueller? Bueller? lol

I came across this issue a couple days ago and just resolved it today. Turns out bridge was disabled in my modem so I was double natting. Have you check your port forwarding settings in your router as well?

I have not. I’ve made no changes in my router since the last time that I was able to access my Plex server from outside my home. What, exactly, am I looking for when checking the port forwarding settings?

  1. Look in your existing router and make note of the WAN IP address. This is your public IP.
  2. Go to Settings | Remote Access for your PMS instance and make note of the public IP address and port number.
  3. Go to www.canyouseeme.org and confirm the IP address you see there is the IP address reported by both your router and PMS.
  4. Put in the public port number and test it to validate network connectivity works
