Can't access Plex after power off

Server Version#:1.18.4.2171

Logs.zip (3.0 MB)

Hi. My QNAP TS-453Be was unplugged without being shutdown today. Now our various players can’t connect to Plex running on it and I can’t get to it via web browser.

I’ve tried reinstalling the latest qpkg from plex.tv over the top but it hasn’t helped.

I’ve attached the Logs folder. Please note that I have had 2 Plex servers - Rome and Paris. Rome is my old server and no longer contactable (it is at another house). Paris is the current server and runs on 192.168.6.200.

Any assistance in getting it back up and running would be much appreciated!

Thanks - Doug

According to the logs, server is up and running, and a user named Steven is accessing it?

Note though, that you have two interfaces on the same IP Net, which is bad, AFAICT

192.168.6.200 and 192.168.6.201

Hi Dane. Yes - the behaviour has been strange. We have multiple players but I couldn’t get any of them to work and I couldn’t find Steven watching content anywhere even though the logs said he was. All the time I couldn’t connect on any devices.

I tried replacing preferences.xml (based on other forum posts) which didn’t work. This morning I put the old preferences.xml back and Plex has started working again - happy days!

I would like to check the config further though. Firstly, the 2 IP addresses. The QNAP NAS has 2 network cards. To get virtual machines running on it I needed to configure the second interface. I don’t know if there’s any way to tell Plex just to use the one IP address. Does it matter?

Also - I am now seeing a lot of these messages:
DEBUG - CERT: incomplete TLS handshake: no shared cipher

I’ve attached the latest logs. Is there something I can do to stop that from happening?

Thanks - Doug

It matters, see Q21 in the FAQ: Qnap faq.....read me first!
