Main issue: I cannot access my plex-media server using Firefox securely, either locally or remotely. However, I can access it using Chrome, under otherwise identical conditions. Firefox is my primary web browser, and is the only browser available on all my daily use platforms, so plex is un-useable for me without this working.
Problem description:

Server is running, remote access is enabled and operational.

Android, and plexamp devices login and work perfectly, locally and remotely.

Locally Firefox (on same computer as the server):
https://app.plex.tv/desktop gives me: “The server qas is unavailable” and “unable to connect to qas securely” -
Local connections (firefox):
http://localhost:32400/web/index.html (insecure) gives me full access to my server
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html (insecure) gives me full access to my server -
Remotely (on a different computer and network than the server) (using firefox):
*https://app.plex.tv/desktop gives me:
“The server qas is unavailable” and “unable to connect to qas securely” -
Remotely Login to the machine directly, rather than through plex.tv (this is the way I’ve done this for years now):
https://www.xxxxxxxx.org:32400/web/index.html, lets me access my servers home page.
*Attempting to connect to any “server” related page gives me:
No soup for you! You do not have access to this server. The server “undefined” is unreachable…
after which point, I’m effectively locked out, and cannot securely connect at all. Frustrating! -
Remotely (on a different computer and network than the server) (using Chrome):
*https://app.plex.tv/desktop gives me full server access:
“NOT SECURE” http://app.plex.tv/desktop?secure=0# -
forcing security to back on gives me (chrome)
https://app.plex.tv/desktop?secure=1# (with a GREY lock) with full server access, this time securely. -
*Login to the machine directly, rather than through plex (chrome)
https://www.xxxxxxxx.org:32400/web/index.html, “your connection is not private” “ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID” because I’ve allowed no exceptions -
and this time logging in directly works (in chrome)
https://app.plex.tv/desktop comes up in secure mode as expected. -
However still using Firefox from same remote machine:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop “The server qas is unavailable” and “unable to connect to qas remotely” even though chrome is working.
Whats up Doc? This is a “NEW” feature that just appeared with the last server “upgrade.”
Anybody have suggestions to get this working again?
